about

Following the ground breaking premiere of 'Paralyzed Mind of the Archangel Void' at the Rhinecliff Hotel along the Hudson River on September 10th, 1994 the Harmony Rockets were invited to perform their neo-free classical masterpiece at nearby Vassar College for an all day college music festival one week later. True to the spirit of the debut concert, the Rockets soon turned up, tuned out and toned in to their own cosmic drone-drama zeitgeist playing before a audience replete with music professors, conservatory students and local Poughkeepsie cover bands. Delivering a stunningly fresh (considering the short gap in time) realization of 'Paralyzed Mind' the band were said to have left the stage exhilarated and soon found themselves rewarded with a bevy of concert offers and a record deal!

Unfortunately neither accolades nor offers came from the Ivy League style school itself. Three days after their concert the Harmony Rockets were officially banned from performing at Vassar College again. -43min
